TrendsSpotting Presents “Influencers’ Predictions” slides collection. Issue 1 – Social Media Trends 2009
Over the next few days, TrendsSpotting will be publishing a series of Trends and Predictions as presented by influencers and experts in different consumer fields.
Our first issue is the Social Media.
We have reused Peter Kim’s wonderful predictions gathered from social media influencers, we summarized the predictions, used tag clouds to help you focus, added insights gathered from Read Write Web and of course, added our own inputs.
So here it is – the first from the influencers and experts collection.
It will be great to receive your insights!
TrendsSpotting wishes you all Happy Holidays: Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Kwanzaa!

Great list. Like the slides. Suggest adding Mitch Joel on the next one.

Check out the latest episode of Jaffe Juice – I had Mitch on and we discussed his predictions.

very interesting.

I call BS on this entire site. How about going back to your trend predictions from 2006 and seeing how well they line up? More evidence, less snake oil.

The first slide on this deck is probably the most interesting – pointing at quality to become the most important element of social media. If we aren’t there yet, social media is going to hit a point of ‘too much, too quickly, I give up’ very soon.
Thanks for posting this!

Thank you all for your support and suggestions.
I should thank Apurba for the great visuals and design work you refer to (as well as so much of the work you see here). Thanks Apurba.
Yuka, Wayne and all those who emailed us and requested to download the presentation- we will make all five presentations from this series available once we complete to publish them (soon!).
Noah – you are absolutely right! We should look at the past predictions as well. It would be very interesting to examine the influencers’ previous success.
Happy New Year!
